Files and Folders
Start the Lesson
By the end you can say what a drive, a folder, a path and a search are and read a path aloud, build the BootCamp tree on your own machine and say where any piece of programme work goes, fetch the week's course files from Mufasa into it, name a file so it sorts itself, test an AI's naming rule against the poster, copy the tree to a second place, delete a file on purpose and bring it back, and find any named file in under a minute.
Submit Your Work
What You Turn In
- A screenshot of your tree
- BootCamp → Shared · Track · Capstone · Personal, the machine log at the top; this week's files and the course files from Mufasa inside Shared; every file named to the naming pattern
- The restore pair fill in on the hub
- One screenshot with the FS3 shortcut card photo deleted, one with it back from your second copy, not the Recycle Bin; a trainer who watched it live can countersign instead
- The one-minute find
- Your partner found a file you named in your tree in under a minute, tree first, search second; the tick in your notebook
- Your machine log page with two new lines
- Where your second copy lives and when you made it; first restore done, the file, the date
How
- Asha, in the Friday evening SGL block.
- How to submit: copy the latest file into your own Mufasa drive, wait a minute, then open Google Drive in the browser, copy the file's share link and paste it into Asha. Open the link once to check it shows the new version. Never a Mufasa path.
Done when

- Restore pair: Named file deleted and restored from the second place, not the Recycle Bin
- One-minute find: Partner found a named file in under a minute
- Machine log, two lines: Backup target and date; first restore done
