Dada na Kaka

Sisters and brothers. Two circles, one for the women and one for the men, run by Lions who came through the programme, and open to everyone on it from day one.

Dada: the sisters

TechDada

The women's track: the sisters of Learning Lions, run by women who came through the programme, for the women in it and the girls who come after.

Kaka: the brothers

TechKaka

The men's track: the brothers of Learning Lions, on growth, respect, looking after each other and standing with the sisters.

One Value, Lived All Year

Equality is one of the programme's eight values, the one carried in the last week of BootCamp: turns are taken, time is shared, and the same rules protect everyone. The two circles are where that value is practised the rest of the year.

  1. Each circle meets without a trainer grading in the room.
  2. Each offers a mentor who has walked the road ahead: a big sister or a big brother.
  3. Both back the outreach that brings the next cohort in, and both stand with each other.

The Gender and Welfare Committee

The committee hears both circles, and holds the targets for who the programme reaches. What a circle raises goes to the people who can change it, and the committee's contact is on the Safety and Welfare page. The promise it stands behind is on the Safeguarding page.
