Colour Correction
Start the Lesson
By the end you can read a histogram aloud, where the light lives, what is clipped and at which wall, what the photo needs first; correct a photo in one fixed order, white balance with the neutral picker, levels, a gentle curve, saturation last and least, each on its own named layer; write a note a client could read, wrong, did, why, with the histogram as the evidence; run an auto-correct as a rival draft and beat it by hand; direct an AI critic with evidence and verify every suggestion on the instrument; and export a before-and-after pair under one stem with the XCF beside it.

What You Turn In
- Five before-and-after pairs
- Exported JPEGs named as pairs under FS4's rule, the XCF kept beside them; every correction on its own named layer with levels and curves; whites white; nothing clipped on purpose
- Five notes: wrong · did · why
- Histogram evidence in every why; a step not taken is named ('saturation: none needed'); a correction you backed off carries its line
- Your receipts
- One auto run as a rival draft with its fault named on the histogram and beaten by hand; one AI critique: your spec with evidence, what it said, where you pushed back, how you verified it; the label where the critic changed a correction
- Your daily post
- The Clip of the Day to the track channel, checked on a phone; the log line: what, where, when
- Clip of the Day: The Rescue fill in on the hub
- 15 to 20 seconds, upright 9:16, exported at 720p as an MP4 under 30 MB (megabytes) and saved in your own Mufasa folder; three pairs, each after revealed by a wipe; captions naming the real fix; no filter on top; your name and the label on the end card; the Google Drive share link (viewer) and your AI receipt in Asha, never the video itself
