Shoot for the Edit

Level 2 · BootCampMD2 Fast-Turnaround ProductionTaught week 4 Wednesday morning

Start the Lesson

By the end you can write a shot list of three to five lines in the grammar of a short for a person who agreed, set your phone to 1080p at 30 and hold it upright, slate every take by voice and hear it on headphones before you move, run camera, sound and direction in a crew of three, bring the clips in by cable to two copies on separate stores and open both before anything is cleared, log every clip so a stranger could cut from it, and make proxies in DaVinci Resolve on a tall timeline.

Start the lesson 69 moves in 11 parts. You need: your phone and its cable · earphones, yours or your crew's · your notebook and a pencil · DaVinci Resolve, installed in MD1.1 · the backup place your coach names, written on the whiteboard
