Read the Code
Start the Lesson
By the end you can name one of four words, variable, sequence, condition, loop, on any line of a short script and say in plain English what the line does; trace a script with a real number by hand and reach the answer before the machine does; write two tests from the spec before any code exists; find the bug an AI left and name it in a sentence; patch one line by hand and keep the patch in the commit history; and write the receipt that makes the label "AI-assisted, directed by me" true.
Submit Your Work
What You Turn In
- Repo link: two scripts in your track repo
- Each with spec, generated and patched as three separate commits
- Photo of both reading logs, coach initials on them
- Every line in your own words with one of the four words beside it; explained aloud without notes
- Spec cards with the receipt line
- Two tests with the expected answers dated before the prompt; tool, prompt, tests, patch, the label 'AI-assisted — directed by me'
- Screenshot of the passing tests
- One line patched by hand, the bug named in a sentence; never a rewrite
- check-scs1.6 receipt
- Practice 1 and practice 3 at PASS on the original tests
- Drill log, reading card, method note fill in on the hub
- Drill script A's bug named; the card in your own words; six lines, the sixth 'what I might be wrong about, and how I would find out'
