VS Code as Home
Start the Lesson
By the end VS Code is installed for your own Windows account with the WSL extension, each with its ledger row written first; your Ubuntu workspace opens from the Ubuntu-SCS tab with code . and the corner says WSL: Ubuntu-SCS; you can move between explorer, editor, terminal and palette by keyboard; Live Server and Prettier are installed the deliberate way, need first, on the Ubuntu side, and proven on your bio page; the room's settings are in the workspace file and your comfort in your User settings; and you have read a check receipt line by line.

What You Turn In
- A screenshot of your editor
- WSL: Ubuntu-SCS in the corner, ~/scs open in the explorer, the integrated terminal open and ls showing what the explorer shows
- Your ledger rows (photo of the notebook page)
- Rows for VS Code, the WSL extension, Live Server and Prettier, each written before the install; every other extension has a row or has been removed
- Your spec cards with their receipt lines
- Five lines per extension; a 'no, because' counts; one receipt line for every AI (artificial intelligence) ask: the tool, the ask, what it said, what you checked it against
- Your settings, defended
- The room's three settings in ~/scs/.vscode/settings.json; your font, zoom and theme in your User settings, each defended in one sentence to a partner who initials the page
- Your check-scs1.3 receipt from ~/scs-checks
- The automatic items PASS; the four keyboard routes used once each without the mouse while a coach watched
- The VS Code log copied into your install log
- The lines the install script wrote, in your FS2 install log
